Essential Duties and Responsibilities:??

• Physician Assistant will be working at the Cedars-Sinai Medical Group Department of Gastroenterology with 10 Gastroenterologists and 3 Physician Assistant in an outpatient setting. Physician Assistant independently obtains a relevant health and medical history.
• Performs a physical examination based on age and history and dictates a progress note if needed with the appropriate physicians.
• Performs and/or orders preventive and diagnostic procedures based on the patient???s age and history.
• Physician Assistant will help physicians provide screening, consultation, and answers to incoming questions from referring physicians.
• Identifies health and medical risk factors.

Qualifications

Educational Requirements:

• Master of Science Degree in Physician Assistant studies

License/Certification requirements:

• National Certification as a Physician Assistant
• BLS and ACLS Certification required
• Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) certification required

Experience:

• Minimum one (1) year Physician Assistant experience in gastroenterology is strongly preferred.
• This position requires a strong, highly motivated individual who has a very strong focus on patient care, excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.??
