Job Summary:
Under direct supervision, responsible for assisting patients in various capacities during sessions in support of physical therapy evaluation and treatment.
Job Duties:
1. Assists therapists with providing treatment that improves patient mobility, relieves pain, and prevents or lessens physical disabilities.
2. Assists with patient check-ins and scheduling.
3. Maintains treatment area clean, organized and prepped for each therapy session.
4. Assists with various basic clinic operations as assigned.
5. Assists patient's with moving to and from treatment areas and equipment.
6. Completes clerical tasks to include ordering supplies, answering the phone, completing insurance forms and any other related activities.
7. Ensures therapy sessions are productive and efficient, under the direct supervision of a physical therapist or physical therapist assistant.
8. Serves as a liaison between physical therapist and patients.
9. Performs all other duties as assigned.
Education:
High school diploma or GED is required. Bachelor’s in related field preferred.
Experience:
One (1) year related experience is required. Previous tech experience preferred.
