This Physical Therapist role is responsible for providing physical therapy evaluation and treatment of patients, including the development of plan of care, and ongoing treatment with patients through all phases of physical therapy. The Physical Therapist assists in providing experiential, clinical learning opportunities for students at all levels of the DPT curriculum.

Duties and Responsibilities
1. Provide evaluation and treatment of incoming patients to determine appropriate physical treatment programs, including exercise instruction, manual therapy techniques, modalities, and activities of daily living. Discuss treatment with patients and record patient conditions and responses to treatments.
2. Complete daily patient care notes, progress notes, discharge notes and other required forms for all patients prior to the end of day. Review and co-sign notes of all patients treated by auxiliary personnel under PT’s direct supervision.
3. Communicate with referring physicians, and other health care personnel regarding patient therapy and equipment.
4. Document treatments rendered on billing sheets and in appropriate patient charts. Ensure billing amounts on treatment sheets match billing sheets and that all units of treatment are accounted for and ensure billing accuracy and prior to submission for billing.
5. Assist with supervision of clinic support/aide staff.
6. Attend continuing educational courses to obtain advanced clinical skills.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
MPT degree from an accredited physical therapy program
Appropriate state licensure, current, and in good standing
Minimum of one year of physical therapy experience
Microsoft Office capability
Ability to organize and manage multiple priorities
Strong customer service skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Excellent presentation skills
Strong team player and commitment to university values
The ability to maintain friendly, cordial relations with all clients and employees
Maintain a positive work atmosphere by acting and communicating in a manner that results in a positive work relationship with customers, co-workers, and managers
Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
DPT degree from an accredited physical therapy program
Advanced certification or specialization is desirable
