Summary of Job Duties:

We are seeking a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) to join our Outpatient Therapy Clinical team. The PTA is a member of the interdisciplinary team that provides direct patient care and treats patients of all ages, monitoring the care and progress of patients in their care. This position is governed by the Arkansas State Board of Physical Therapy, state and federal laws, and agency policy.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications

  • Associate Degree in Applied Science in PT
  • One (1) year of PTA experience or new grad with clinical experience in an outpatient setting
  • Licensed by the Arkansas State Medical Board as a PTA, or eligible to apply and obtain a license within 30-days of hire
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate to clinic staff, physicians, and the public
  • Must possess good hand-eye coordination and demonstrate exceptional attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strong background in treatment of neurologic disorders, LSVT or PWR certified
  • Two (2) years of PTA experience


Additional Information:

Key Responsibilities

  • Works closely with the supervising physical therapist to implement therapeutic plans and provides daily mobility and balance treatments.  Prepares and operates physical therapy equipment to include sanitizing, sterilizing and/or disinfecting equipment.
  • Documents daily treatments and observations in patient’s progress notes and prepares monthly patient performance summary as related to program goals and objectives and submits to physical therapist.

This is a PRN position.
