Essential Job Duties | We seek a talented, creative and organized Photography and Videography Specialist to join the Enrollment Management and Services (EMAS) Marketing and Communications (MarCom) team. The chosen candidate will be responsible for capturing and producing high-quality photographs and videos that effectively showcase our university’s campus, events, activities, and student life. The successful candidate will be joining a small team of highly collaborative and innovative professionals with various complementary skills in the field of multimedia marketing and communication. The candidate will have access to various photography and videography equipment including:
Responsibilities: Pre-Production Research and develop concepts for engaging visual stories, utilizing tools such as storyboards, mood boards and style frames. Adhere to copyright laws, obtain necessary permissions, and ensure all media content is appropriately credited when required. Stay current with the latest trends and techniques in photography and videography, incorporating innovative approaches to enhance the university’s visual presence. Production Capture and produce high-quality photographs and videos that align with the university’s branding guidelines and the stakeholder’s needs. Attend and cover university events for photos and videos, including lectures, sports events, cultural festivals, and graduation ceremonies, ensuring comprehensive visual coverage both within and outside the division. Conduct photo and video shoots on campus, highlighting events and program features for units within the division. Post-Production Edit and assemble video footage, incorporating music, sound effects, animations and graphics, to produce impactful promotional videos, documentaries, and event recaps. Edit and retouch photos, ensuring they meet professional standards and are ready for publication in various mediums, including print, web, and social media. Manage and organize a digital media library, ensuring all assets are appropriately labeled, categorized, and accessible to EMAS staff. Maintain and upkeep photography and videography equipment, ensuring they are in optimal condition and always ready for use. Communication and Collaboration Collaborate with the division and the university’s units and departments to understand and support their photography and videography needs. Collaborate with the division and the university’s social media team to provide visually captivating content for social media platforms, contributing to the growth of the university’s online presence. Work closely with the Associate Director and Multimedia Production Specialist to ensure that the work created is aligned with the division’s overall strategic and creative direction. Manage interns who are assigned as photographers and videographers. |
Other Responsibilities | EMAS units include Undergraduate Admissions, Scholarships and Financial Aid, Registration and Records, Summer Sessions, Campus Visits, Pre-College Programs, Student Services Center, and Parents and Families Services. This position will need to work with each unit to produce appropriate marketing and communication content. |

Minimum Experience/Education | High school diploma or equivalency and two years of visual/graphic arts experience related to the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience. |
