Phlebotomist - Part-time, Biomedical Informatics & Genomics
Medicine - Center for Biomedical Informatics and Genomics
Location:  New Orleans, LA
Summary
Performs blood draw for the human subjects recruited in the research projects in the Center for Biomedical Informatics and Genomics (CBG), Division of Biomedical Informatics and Genomics, John W. Deming Department of Medicine. 
Duties include but are not limited to: data entry, specimen collection/rapid lab testing, and blood draw. This is a part time position. Clinical site hours are Monday-Friday 8:30am-12:00pm.
 
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Excellent oral communication skill
  • Excellent data entry skills 

Required Education and/or Experience
  • High school diploma or equivalent is required
  • At least 2-year experience in clinical laboratory specimen collection and processing with a high level of adult phlebotomy is required
  • State specific license: CA (CPT) and LA (State Medical Examiners license) are required

Compensation Information
This position is classified as "non-exempt, hourly" and is assigned to pay grade 20.
