The Department of English, Philosophy, and Communication Studies at the University of Wisconsin-Stout is seeking to hire part-time and full-time Instructional Academic Staff instructors to teach online sections of philosophy and logic courses starting spring 2023. Courses include Introduction to Philosophy, Business Ethics, General Ethics, and Introduction to Logic. The courses are asynchronous and fully online.

APPOINTMENT DATES January 23, 2023, to May 21, 2023

Minimum/Required Qualifications :

  • Master’s degree in Philosophy

Highly Desired :

  • Minimum of one-year experience teaching college-level philosophy
  • Record of successfully teaching online

RESPONSIBILITIES Teach online courses in philosophy and/or logic. Provide student academic advisement and conduct assessment of student learning. This includes contributing to academic program assessment and continuous improvement processes, in collaboration with faculty and staff.
