The Pharmacy Technician is responsible for supporting the Cedars-Sinai Medical Network pharmacists in the daily operations of the Pharmacy Department. Your primary role is to assist the pharmacists, physicians and other providers in processing of prescription orders, prior authorizations, distribution and inventory management of clinic-administered medications, and obtaining and compiling clinical information. All duties are performed under the direct supervision of a pharmacist. In addition, support the Refill Center, pharmacists, and physicians by timely preparing prescription refill requests (both protocol and non-protocol) in CS-Link for review and approval/denial by the pharmacists working under protocol on behalf of the Refill Center physicians ensuring the request is documented in the patient’s medical record.

• Pharmacy Technician License, California Board of Pharmacy

• One year pharmacy technician in a retail pharmacy or outpatient pharmacy department

• Sit, speak or listen, use hands repetitively, and/or reach with arms on a regular basis.
• Stand, walk, climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl occasionally.
• May occasionally require the lifting of up to 25 pounds.
• Moderate noise is typical for this work environment (example: typical business office with printers and phones).
