Position Summary
The Pharmacy Student Tutor provides tutoring for P1 students in one or more courses in pharmacy calculations, pharmaceutics, physiology, biochemistry, and microbiology/immunology.
This applicant pool will remain online and be used to hire interested UIW students as the need arises.
This is a student position open to current UIW P2 pharmacy students.
Essential Functions
1. Provides additional learning opportunities beyond the classroom to P1 students in the fall and spring semesters.
2. Maintains a record of students attending a tutoring session.
3. Works closely with the course faculty to align tutoring to course content and schedule of topics.
4. Provide notes to the faculty on what was covered during a tutoring session, concepts students had difficulty with, and any other pertinent information.
5. Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications


Knowledge Skills and Abilities
1. Ability to communicate complex concepts effectively and in an easy to comprehend manner.
2. Ability to provide tutoring in one or more courses during a semester.
3. Ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures.
4. Employee shall adhere to all applicable rules and regulations of the University, the Conference, and the NCAA
Required Education
Current UIWFSOP P2 student in good academic and professional standing, with a course grade of A (or an occasional B+) in pharmacy calculations, pharmaceutics I-IV, physiology I and II, biochemistry and microbiology/immunology.
Required Work Experience
No experience necessary;
Preferred Qualifications
Tutoring experience for college courses in a formal or informal setting
Required Certifications, Licenses or Registrations
FERPA training with the Feik School of Pharmacy, Office of Student Affairs will be provided.
Work Hours
-Flexible schedule adjusted to provide tutoring time outside of P1 class or lab time on weekdays
-Occasional weekend tutoring could also be scheduled.
