Physical Requirements
This position requires intermittently sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time and performing tasks with repetitive motions; and occasionally standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds; and lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to or over 50 pounds. Also involves some job-related travel (less than 10% of time); exposure to risk of injury from moving, lifting, or positioning patients, equipment, or materials; and exposure to temperature extremes, hazardous chemicals and fumes including waste, cuts/punctures, and blood-borne or airborne pathogens.
Shift
Primarily dayshifts but may vary depending on services to be provided. May include evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. Hours, days of week, and location subject to change based on needs of the department.
Job Summary
Pharmacy technicians possess knowledge regarding basic medication use, common disease states, and patient care workflow. Workflow management, patient scheduling, inventory and recordkeeping must take place on a continual basis in support of the PharmacistCare model providing immunization and point of care testing. A pharmacy technician involved in the POCT process, under appropriate supervision by a pharmacist, could be responsible for filling out the appropriate application paperwork, for becoming familiar with laboratory rules and regulations to maintain the Certificate of Waiver, OSHA and regulatory requirements as well as notifying pharmacists of MTM and other counselling opportunities. Training will be provided for processes and systems.

This position requires dependability and the ability to prioritize. The successful candidate must be reliable and demonstrate excellent attention to detail.

Preferred Education/Experience
Two years of previous work experience (in a related field). Prefer previous pharmacy tech experience or work/classes in medical field. Hired candidate must maintain state licensure in good standing. Must have 2 years of full-time (or pro-rated) pharmacy technician experience and must be a Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT).
