Required Related Experience
2 yrs
Required License/Registration/Certification
Nationally certified Pharmacy Technician by either PTCB (PTCE) or NHA (ExCPT); Registered with the Kentucky Board of Pharmacy within 30 days of hire.
Physical Requirements
May include standing for greater than 5 hours at a time and possibly walking several miles per day. May require the ability to reach items above shoulder level and be able to lift up to 25 pounds.
Shift
This position is 7days on/7days off (5:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m).
Job Summary
The Pharmacy Senior Technician acts as a liaison between Pharmacy Supply Chain and Pharmacy Operations. This technician will assist with ensuring appropriate stock of medication in various locations is maintained and will place orders for medications on the weekends and as needed during the week. The Pharmacy Senior Technician will facilitate necessary stock changes needed during drug shortages and after drug shortage resolution.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities
This position requires dependability and the ability to prioritize. The successful candidate must be reliable and demonstrate excellent attention to detail.

Preferred Education/Experience
Associate or bachelor’s degree and hospital and/or retail pharmacy technician experience preferred.
