Description: A graduate research assistantship is available at Jockey Club College of Veterinary Medicine and Life Sciences at the City University of Hong Kong. The research program covers a broad range of topics related to Aquatic Animal Health, including bacterial virulence factors, co-infection in teleost fish, and the impact of microplastic on fish physiology and immune responses. The City University of Hong Kong is ranked 53nd in the QS World University Rankings. The postgraduate student will be based in Hong Kong, one of the most amazing and vibrant cities in the world with numerous opportunities to explore nature, water sports, hiking and international cuisine. The city is an international hub of the world and Southern Asia.. Qualifications
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Fisheries, Bioinformatics, molecular biology, or a similar field • GPA of 3.3 or higher • Must be fluent in English. International students are required to provide evidence of their proficiency in English (e.g., TOEFL≥79, or IELTS ≥6.5) unless their First Degree is from an institution where the language of teaching is English. • The Ph.D. candidate should be highly motivated and able to work both independently and in a team.
