The Department of Physical Therapy is currently seeking a per diem Physical Therapist. The Physical Therapist position is responsible professional work providing physical therapy services to patients/client who have impairments, functional disabilities or change in physical function and health status resulting from injury, disease, or other causes wellness services including screening and health promotion. Emphasis on work is to help patients/client suffering from injury or disease to restore function, improve mobility, relieve pain, and prevent or limit permanent physical disabilities. The Physical Therapist work with health-care teams that including physicians, occupational therapist, and psychologists.
The minimum qualifications for this position are as follows: Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy is required. Doctoral degree is preferred. State of Florida license as a Physical Therapist is required. The Physical Therapist shall be responsible for maintaining standards of professional and ethical practice according to ATPA guidelines in the full scope of physical therapy services. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. One year of experience is preferred. Any appropriate combination of relevant education, certification(s) and/or work experience may be considered.

Patient safety is a top priority.
