Normal Work Schedule: Flexible; Monday - Friday 4:30pm to 8:00pm, up to 5 hours per week

Job Summary: The Career Center Peer Educators present to UA student organizations Monday - Thursday from 5:00pm to 8:00pm as needed during the 2024-2025 school year.


Additional Department Summary: Presentations last 15 to 45 minutes and audience sizes range from 10 to 100+. Presentation topics include resume writing, interviewing, networking, job-search strategies, and overview of Career Center services and resources including Handshake. Training will be provided and training time will be compensated.


Required Minimum Qualifications: UA undergraduate student. Ability to prepare and deliver presentations lasting 10 to 45 minutes. Ability to comfortably speak to groups with audience of 5 to 200 UA students. Ability to respond timely to emails and texts. Interest in helping educate fellow UA students on career-planning and job-search strategies. Ability to work two evenings per week between Monday - Thursday 5:00pm to 7:30pm.


Skills and Knowledge: Strong time management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication. Self-starter.


Enrollment Requirements: Applicants must meet enrollment requirements to be eligible for on-campus student employment. Applicants must be enrolled in a UA degree program and meet minimum credit hour requirements during the academic year: Undergraduate Students must be registered for at least 6 credit hours during fall/spring semesters; Graduate Students must be registered for at least 4.5 credit hours during fall/spring semesters; International Students must be registered full-time (Undergraduate = 12 credit hours, Graduate = 9 credit hours) during fall/spring semesters. Enrollment requirements must be maintained for the duration of on-campus employment. Individual hiring departments and programs may also have additional eligibility requirements for employment.
