Position Summary
The Division of General Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine (GPAM) and UNC (University of North Carolina) Children’s Hospital are recruiting two board-certified / eligible pediatricians for full-time, fixed term at the rank of Assistant or Associate Professor level, clinical and educational positions with the option for a reduced schedule and FTE (0.8). We are seeking pediatricians who will work primarily as primary care providers at a community-based pediatric primary care practice, with potential for future medical education and academic activities.
This new community-based pediatric primary care practice is in Pittsboro, North Carolina and is part of the thriving UNC Physician Network. This practice is committed to providing high quality, evidence-based family-centered medical care to a diverse patient population. Committed to comprehensive, wrap-around care, the practice seeks to provide chronic disease care coordination and opportunity for behavioral health consultation. The provider’s schedule will complement another UNC faculty member such that coverage of each other’s patient panel can occur when the faculty member is off site.
Applicants from groups underrepresented in Medicine are strongly encouraged to apply.
GPAM is one of the largest divisions in the Department of Pediatrics and includes outpatient care, child abuse pediatrics, adolescent medicine specialty care, developmental behavioral pediatrics and other affiliated specialty services.
