Pediatric Technologies Innovator

We are looking for a Pediatric Technologies Innovator who can substantially change the landscape of child health. This position offers a unique opportunity to lead cutting-edge research, with the potential to impact one or more areas of biomedical science.

In partnership with Children’s Healthcare of Atlanta, faculty appointments will be primary in the Department of Pediatrics within the Emory University School of Medicine, with the possibility of a joint appointment with other Emory departments. We offer a highly interactive collegial research environment with state-of-the-art facilities, as well as proximity to and collaborations with the Winship Cancer Institute, the Emory Vaccine Center, Emory Lowance Center for Immunology, the Georgia Institute of Technology, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Qualifications

 

• Record of Outstanding Research:
  • A record of outstanding basic science and/or clinical/translational research commensurate with experience level with the potential to significantly impact various domains of biomedical science or medicine..
• National Grant Portfolio:
  • For senior candidates, a robust national grant portfolio, preferably with a proven track record of securing large or multi-PI grants.
  • For early career candidates a proven track record in securing research funding illustrating the potential for grant funding sustainability
• Innovative Technology Platform:
  • Development and implementation of a novel 'technology' platform that has the potential to be catalytic and make a profound impact across multiple areas. Areas of interest include artificial intelligence and machine learning, imaging, data science, and omics-based technologies.
• Synergy with Current Research Activities: 
  • Proven ability to synergize and collaborate with ongoing research activities at Emory and Children’s, enhancing the collective impact of research initiatives.
• Leadership Experience:
  • Demonstrated leadership experience commensurate with career stage, showcasing the ability to think on a big-picture scale and strategically guide research efforts.
• Interdisciplinary Collaboration:
  • A record of fostering interdisciplinary collaboration, promoting teamwork, and creating an environment conducive to innovative research
