The Division of Psychology within the Department of Pediatrics includes more than 45 pediatric, clinical, and neuropsychologists practicing across subspecialty areas at Texas Children’s Hospital, providing care in both the inpatient and outpatient environments. Summary
The Texas Children’s Hospital Traumatic Stress and Resilience (TSR) Program is seeking a psychologist to lead expansion of our trauma services. Current TSR initiatives include outpatient care, a Mobile Behavioral Health Unit, and a multidisciplinary Foster Care Program.
Roles and Responsibilities
The psychologist will:
- Support development, coordination, and implementation of our expanding TSR clinical program.
- Utilize evidence-based screening and assessment tools to provide accurate diagnostic conceptualization to inform treatment planning.
- Provide trauma-specific, evidence-based psychotherapy intervention for youth experiencing PTSS and PTSD.
- Track patient progress and outcomes using standardized tools.
- Collaborate with other providers as well as families, schools, and community-based partners to ensure care is comprehensive, well-integrated, and collaborative.
Minimum Qualifications
- A doctorate in clinical, counseling, or school psychology with a specialization in pediatric or child clinical psychology.
- Completed both an APA-accredited psychology internship, with postdoctoral training in pediatric or clinical psychology preferred.
- Eligibility for licensure in Texas.
