Summary

The Pediatric Rehabilitation Center is located at 2205 Commonwealth Blvd., Ann Arbor MI 48105.  We are a multidisciplinary clinic serving children with medical, physical, occupational and speech and language needs. We provide a broad span of care for patients & families requiring limited, one-time therapy services, to those who require complex episodic care throughout the child’s development.

We are actively seeking compassionate, enthusiastic, and patient-oriented individuals who will share in the goal of creating the ideal experience for our patients, families, and employees.

Therapist will provide direct patient care utilizing evidenced based treatment, designed to restore and maximize performance, using appropriate pediatric interventions, exercises and modalities, in coordination with a multidisciplinary team.

Responsibilities*

You will provide direct patient care, utilizing evidence based treatment, designed to restore and maximize performance, using indicated pediatric interventions, in coordination with a multi-disciplinary team.


Required Qualifications*
  • Masters of Science Degree in occupational Therapy or higher
  • Current Michigan Occupational Therapist License
  • Registered member of the National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy- NBCOT

Desired Qualifications*
  • Minimum of 1-year pediatric rehabilitation (occupational therapy) experience in a medical setting
  • Experience with the following standardized measurement tools:
  • Experience with any or all of the following across the pediatric continuum

    • Feeding across the pediatric and adolescent span of development (0 months - 21 years)
    • Autism
    • Sensory Integration
    • Neurologic and Genetic diagnoses
    • Developmental diagnoses
    • Orthopedic diagnoses including hand therapy
    • Splinting
    • Casting
    • Chronic pain, pain syndromes

Work Schedule

This is a fulltime, 40 hour per week position. Clinic hours of operation are Monday through Friday, Facility Hours are Monday-Friday 7:00am to 7:00pm. Applicants must have availibility to work within the hours of operation Monday-Friday.  At this time, there are no weekend requirements.

This position may be underfilled at a lower classification depending on the qualifications of the selected candidate. Recent graduates who have completed their coursework but are awaiting certification are encourage to apply. We welcome candidates who are in the process of obtaining certification.


Background Screening

Michigan Medicine conducts background screening and pre-employment drug testing on job candidates upon acceptance of a contingent job offer and may use a third party administrator to conduct background screenings.  Background screenings are performed in compliance with the Fair Credit Report Act. Pre-employment drug testing applies to all selected candidates, including new or additional faculty and staff appointments, as well as transfers from other U-M campuses.
