The Payroll Tax Analyst for the University of Arizona Global Campus (Global Campus) is a full-time employment position reporting to the Sr. Director, Total Rewards and can work in our home office in Chandler, AZ or remotely. The Payroll Tax Analyst is responsible for the the accurate filing of local, state, and federal payroll tax returns throughout the United States, including quarterly and annual reconciliation of payroll paid and taxes withheld. Respond to questions and special requests from regulatory agencies regarding taxes and payroll withholding procedures. Research tax law changes if necessary.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following:
Processing timely and accurate payroll tax payments and filings with appropriate federal, state, and local agencies.
Reconciles monthly, quarterly, annual, and W-2 filings as required.
Maintain payroll tax files and records.
Correspond with tax agencies in writing and verbally as necessary.
Responds to client inquiries and questions as necessary.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
Associates degree or higher
Four (4) years payroll experience
High attention to detail, professional attitude and reliable
Strong organizational skills
Ability to maintain strict confidentiality of compensation data
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Excel
Strong communication skills (written and verbal) and ability to work well with others as well as independently
Skilled in multitasking and prioritizing
Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree preferred
2+ years of payroll tax experience preferred
Experience with WorkDay
Experience with ADP
Other Skills:
MS Office Knowledge
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Detail oriented
Ability to manage multiple priorities
Able to meet strict deadlines
Ability work independently
Ability to problem-solve
