The Kenneth P. Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences is seeking a Payroll/Personnel Coordinator.  

The Payroll/Personnel Coordinator is responsible for all facets of Human Resources and Payroll actions for faculty, staff, and students (undergraduate and graduate) in assigned departments. Responsibilities include:
- Processing actions for new and rehired faculty and graduate students.
- Processing staff actions such as FMLA requests and pay adjustments; and faculty actions such as promotions, leaves, and reappointments.
- Working with the Office of International Services to process VISA applications and manage immigration issues.
- Reviewing and verifying bi-weekly and monthly payroll registers.
- Reconciling monthly labor distribution reports.
- Assist the department with posting and hiring of student workers.
- Coordinating with administrative staff in other university departments/schools to
facilitate transactions needed to appropriately compensate all personnel.
- Acting as a liaison to the University’s Payroll, Human Resource, Compensation, and Benefits teams.



Job Summary

Serves as a primary contact for faculty, staff, union, and students regarding all payroll actions and issues and provides support and guidance. Reviews and corrects record changes, payroll actions, employment forms, and payroll registers. Approves recruitment actions, requests, and reclassifications; onboards new and rehired faculty, staff, and students. Performs data entry and maintains all filing systems. Ensures accuracy and compliance with policies and regulations.


Essential Functions 

All essential task functions relate to use of computer, remote-work setting, routine office equipment for purposes of initiating documents for financial or employment purposes.


Physical Effort 

No heavy lifting is required but must open and put away newly delivered supplies. Must be able to easily access all areas of the University related to assigned departments.

Hiring Range $19.07 to $23.83 per hour
