Job Description

Job Duties

  • Serves as UIN Manager and UIN Partner for AgriLife. Evaluates and analyzes any discrepancies between employees UINs. Approves New or Rehire worker record task after review.
  • Responsible for approving all payroll corrections (PCTs) on a daily basis to ensure accuracy and timely processing. Serves as departmental contact for all Administration payroll corrections.
  • Prints, sorts and distributes Biweekly and Monthly payroll checks.
  • Responsible for ACH returns from the bank and generates paper checks when necessary.
  • Generates month end vouchers for specific payroll deductions.
  • Reviews and approves all personal information and/or legal name changes in Workday.
  • Responsible for maintaining and entering all withholding orders. Contacts TAMU payroll for any new vendor setups.
  • Work with unit payroll contacts to answer questions and assist with payroll matters, including but not limited to employment verifications, months of service determinations, and resolving pay questions. Works with other agencies across the state on verification of state service.
  • Distributes all reports located in Laserfiche on a daily, biweekly, monthly, and month end basis.
  • Assists employees with semi-complex payroll-related questions.
  • Researches and resolves problems and discrepancies on any payroll matters.   
  • Serves as backup for Payroll Partner for review and approval of the assignment of pay groups.
  • Performs other related duties as requested.

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree in applicable field or equivalent combination of education and related experience (High School or GED and 4 years of related experience or Associate's Degree and 2 years of related experience.)

Required Special Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:

Knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and database applications.

Strong attention to detail.

Strong verbal and written communication skills.

Strong interpersonal and organizational skills.

Ability to multi task and work cooperatively with others.

Salary range:

$36,512 - $46,924.80
