Responsibilities
Under the general direction of the Admin Nurse, Asst. Dir Nursing & Operations OR and the Hospital Lab Tech Supervisor the Patient Specialty Services Tech primary function is to assist the anesthesiologist in preparation of equipment needed to administer anesthesia. This may include setting up invasive lines for patient monitoring, performing cell saving procedures, setting up laser and video equipment and assisting in laser procedures, setting up other O.R. equipment for the clinical staff and performing clerical and coordinating duties. In addition, duties may include proper care of instrumentation and equipment, utilization of all safety measures and the accurate completion of all documentation.
