We are looking for a Patient Service Supervisor that demonstrates a leadership style that promotes enthusiasm and dedication to our outpatient practice and enterprise. As a Patient Service Supervisor, you will be a leader to the Patient Service Representative (PSR) team for the Children’s Health Center clinic in Westwood. You will supervise 20+ team members and be responsible of training staff, assigning work, completing performance evaluations, and ensuring that all staff are compliant with relevant laws and regulations. The PSRs provide administrative support to patients and providers by obtaining authorizations and referrals for patient care, triaging messages, scheduling appointments, and uploading medical records. The Supervisor will support the Clinic Manager and Director of Ambulatory Services in maximizing efficiency and effectiveness in the clinic by managing the PSRs, assisting with coaching to improve individual and group performance, developing policies and improving procedures, and optimizing patient satisfaction and physician support. Additionally, you will act as a liaison between patients and physicians through the comprehensive care coordination process. You will assist patients in obtaining services within the health system, facilitate communication with physicians, refer patients to appropriate resources, and provide follow-up as necessary. Salary Range: $28.78-59.34 Hourly Salary offers are determined based on various factors including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, and equity.

Qualifications

Required: * Skill in setting priorities which accurately reflect the relative importance of job responsibilities. * Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with faculty, staff, administration, and patients from various social, cultural, and economic backgrounds. * Ability to creatively integrate competing demands into a productive working environment. * Skill in verbal communications to clearly convey complex problems in both formal and informal situations. * Ability to interact diplomatically and sympathetically with a patient population in varying degrees of health. Preferred: * Knowledge of specific specialty practice and workflow. * Working knowledge of patient related policies and procedures as well as a thorough understanding of the University system and its services/programs. * Familiarity and knowledge of the authorization process and managed care programs.
