ABOUT THE JOB   

MU Health Care is looking for a dynamic and dedicated individual to join our team as a Pharmacy Technician, Patient Medication Liaison . In this role, you will play a crucial part in preparing, dispensing, and distributing medications under the guidance of a pharmacist. We are seeking a candidate who not only possesses the technical skills required for the position but also embodies a commitment to enhancing the patient experience. The ideal candidate will excel in conducting prospective medication prior authorization services, streamlining clinic and discharge workflows. Your role will involve coordinating refill and prescription renewal requests, demonstrating a keen ability to pre-screen patients for payment sources and address reimbursement issues efficiently. Effective communication is key, as you will be fostering relationships between clinics, hospitals, patients, and pharmacies. Additionally, identifying and referring eligible patients to medication assistance programs is a vital aspect of this position. Qualifications

 

High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired. Must apply prior to hire for Pharmacy Technician licensure by the Missouri Board of Pharmacy. Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) certification by the Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) within one (1) year as a condition of continued employment in this job classification.
