Compensation: $73,945-$96,130-$120,165/annual

Duties:

To independently employ methodologies, best practices, and principles from multiple fields of specialization to develop, design, deploy, and support surveys, studies, research, and systems regarding the patient experience. To conduct research and analysis and present findings for review. To carry out complex assignments, requiring development of methodologies, calculations, database integrations, techniques, and coded processes. To guarantee the validity of all survey structures and designs, to ensure access for our entire population, removal of potential bias, retention of data integrity for research longevity and continuity across service lines throughout the Health System.

1.       Engineers innovative solutions and support for understanding the patient journey, needs of the patient and employee populations, purposes of research and analysis, and tracking trends in the Health System.

2.       Applies complex methods to design, develop, and deploy self-service reporting within the Medallia system.

3.       Provides technical support and system administration for the Medallia system to users across the Health System.

4.       Understands main UAB Health System patient data systems and how they can be utilized to feed patient experience data capture systems (HQ, IDX, Cerner, MEDITECH Expanse).

5.       Stays abreast of system changes and collaborates with HSIS teams to address issues. Demonstrates familiarity with HL7 feeds, SIU/ADT messages, and integration.

6.       Researches new, innovative technology and techniques and develops business cases to support enterprise-wide experience solutions.

7.       Develops and designs training materials and conducts training for end users’ utilization of experience insights tools and systems.

8.       Deploys decisions about the structure, hierarchy, and functionality of the enterprise-wide experience insights systems.

9.       Serves as an expert within the patient experience community for Medallia Healthcare programs, presentations, and participation in international user group meetings.

 

Qualifications

 

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in related field and five (5) years of related experience required.  Master’s degree such as MPH, MSHQS, MSHI, or related field preferred.  Experience working with healthcare or consumer experience data preferred.  Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required. Expert in MS Excel preferred.  Must possess effective communication skills. Familiarity with statistics, quality improvement, and data analytics preferred.
