Primary Purpose of Organizational Unit
The School of Education is an academic unit reporting to the Provost. The School is a major center of research, teaching, and public service within the State of North Carolina, the nation, and the world. The School offers a full range of undergraduate and graduate programs. The mission of the School of Education is to conduct research, and generate basic and applied knowledge about human development, educational technology and entrepreneurship, teaching and learning, school counseling, school psychology, administration, as well as educational policy and leadership; prepare leaders in the profession of education by conducting outstanding research, teaching, and service; and assist in the development of strong and effective public schools in North Carolina. In order to fulfill its mission, the School is organized into three academic divisions: (1) Culture, Curriculum, & Teacher Education (CCATE), (2) Learning, Development & Psychological Sciences (LDPS), and (3) Educational Policy, Organization, & Leadership (EPOL).
Position Summary
This position may be eligible for a hybrid work arrangement that may include a partially remote work location, consistent with System Office policy. UNC Chapel Hill employees are generally required to reside within a reasonable commuting distance of their assigned duty station.
The primary purpose of this position is to provide seamless support for three programs within the UNC School of Education: 1-Carolina Community Academy, 2-NC New Teacher Support Program, 3- PK-12 Partnerships. The Program Manager will be responsible for providing a variety of business, fiscal, human resources, and compliance duties that include, but are not limited to, school administration, programmatic planning and delivery, information, resource, and records management, and human resources and financial management. Ultimately, this position will facilitate deepening relationships with collaborators across a variety of stakeholders while maintaining the organizational integrity of Carolina Community Academy and New Teacher Support Program operations.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree and one year of experience related to the area of assignment; or equivalent combination of training and experience. All degrees must be received from appropriately accredited institutions.

Preferred Qualifications, Competencies, and Experience
* Prefer candidates with extensive and varied experiences in public K-12 in North Carolina.
* Prefer candidates with relevant experience in an institute of higher education, preferably at a UNC System Office school.
* Experience with independently creating reports is strongly preferred.
* Experience with LINQ is strongly preferred.
* Experience with NCCIP strongly preferred.
