JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Mathematics Department in the Eberly College of Science has a vacancy available for a Part-Time Undergraduate Research Assistant for Summer 2024. The selected candidate will work in interdisciplinary mathematics, specifically at the interface of mathematical analysis and Life Sciences. The selected candidate will work with a faculty member and Ph.D. students/postdocs working with this faculty member on mathematical analysis of models in Life Sciences and perform numerical simulations for these models. Strong skills in applied mathematics and programming are preferred as well as familiarity with Deep Learning techniques.
