The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a Part-Time Temporary Grants & Special Programs Coordinator on the Dahlonega campus. This part-time position will work closely with the dean and the department business manager to help build out a plan for assisting faculty with grants management, the post baccalaureate program and all other programming that is offered for professional learning units, our summer programming for youth, and our grow-your-own programming with our local school districts. Additionally, this position will assist with training for general budgetary management and development of a philanthropic plan and will work across departments and units at the institution.

  • Work with faculty to develop plan for utilizing, maintaining, and expanding Grow-Your-Own program funding, including assisting with building out a budget for philanthropy.
  • Work with non-degree seeking programs, including endorsements and the post baccalaureate initial teaching certification program, to assist with budgetary management and growth.
  • Work with our Programs Admissions specialist to streamline processes for program admissions with our post baccalaureate program and help build better strategies for the onboarding of students.
  • Assist department business manager with understanding and implementation of budget, including training and work with the dean to develop a model for needs in preparation for philanthropic requests.
  • Plan for summer programs from a budgetary perspective and will assist us in identifying funds for these programs.
  • Work with faculty who have grants and with the Office of Sponsored Programs to ensure budgetary compliance and timeliness with funds.
  • Other duties as assigned.

 

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities

  • Knowledge of standard business practices and budgetary controls. 
  • Strong business process skills, particularly in the area of budget management.
  • Bachelor's degree required.
  • Five (5) years of experience in business operations, account management, and higher education required.
