Posting Summary	The Department of Chemistry and Chemical Biology at Rutgers University-New Brunswick seeks part-time instructors for Fall 2024 to teach recitations for General Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, and other undergraduate chemistry courses. The successful candidate will be expected to present course material during the assigned course times, hold office hours, proctor exams, grade exams and other applicable assignments such as homework. The successful candidate must be a team player who is willing to work toward the teaching goals set by the course instructors, the division coordinators, and the department.

Qualifications

Minimum Education and Experience	BS or BA in Chemistry or a related field required. Ph.D. in Chemistry preferred for selected courses. Demonstrated experience in teaching preferred.

Immunization Requirements

Under Policy 60.1.35 Immunization Policy for Rutgers Employees and Prospective Employees , Rutgers University requires all prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against COVID-19 prior to commencement of employment, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption. Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to receive an updated (bivalent) vaccine dose. Under Policy 100.3.1 Immunization Policy for Covered Individuals , if employment will commence during Flu Season, Rutgers University may require certain prospective employees to provide proof that they are vaccinated against Seasonal Influenza for the current Flu Season, unless the University has granted the individual a medical or religious exemption.
