The Venice Family Clinic is a community health center that provides quality health care to people in need. Our physicians are committed to the populations we serve and to the mission of the clinic. Under the leadership of the Chief Medical Officer, the Simms /Mann Site Clinical Director provides the majority of their primary care sessions at the Simms/Mann Health and Wellness Center, evaluating, treating, and making appropriate diagnostic and specialty referrals for our patients. The Simms/Mann site Clinical Director is an integral part of the clinic staff, providing leadership and expertise on medical questions and solving issues related to operational and clinical services. In addition to staff physician duties, the position will involve leadership of the site’s clinical staff, including direct supervision of some of the physicians and mid-level providers who practice primarily at the Simms/Mann site. Included in the leadership position includes attending coordinating team meeting, running site meetings, facilitating change and innovation projects at the site, and helping the staff resolve patient complaints. Because the Venice Family Clinic has robust volunteer and medical training programs, the Simms/Mann Clinical Director has a unique role as a liaison to the affiliated residency programs, and providing support to volunteer medical providers. This responsibility includes providing a positive role model, ensuring that volunteers understand Venice Family Clinic procedures and providing continuity of care for patients. The Simms/Mann Clinical Director works cooperatively with all clinic departments including nursing, pharmacy, clinic coordinators, health education and behavioral health staff. The position requires flexibility in days and hours for clinical care. This is a career position. The Clinical Site Director position is a 30% position, depending on the candidate. The University of California, Los Angeles is required to provide an estimate of the salary range for this role. This range takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions. Salary offers are determined based on candidate qualifications and experience. The full salary range for this position is 220000.00-235000.00 Annual

Qualifications

Required qualifications: · Possession of an active California Medical License · Board Certified or eligible physician in Family Medicine, Med/Peds, or Internal Medicine · Knowledge of medical problems of minority, medically underserved populations, and the homeless · Ability to speak Spanish such that an interpreter is not routinely needed during medical exams · Skill in providing general and adult medical care in a high-volume clinic setting · Able to manage a wide range on chronic illnesses especially diabetes and obesity · Ability to teach and supervise residents and medical students · Ability to work as a team with multi-disciplinary staff, different medical specializations, mental health providers, other staff and volunteer physicians, and mid-level practitioners. · Willingness to learn and fully utilize our Electronic Health Record to meet meaningful use requirements · Meet productivity goals as determined by the Chief Medical Officer
