ESKENAZI SCHOOL OF ART ARCH + (BL-SOAD-IUBLA)

Art Shop at the Eskenazi School supports faculty and student initiatives that enhance the quality of the educational experience in the Eskenazi School of Art, Architecture + Design at IU Bloomington.  The Shop is a point of contact for Eskenazi School students, faculty and visitors, and provides resources and learning opportunities to promote the mission of the school.

The Sale Lead must have the knowledge, experience, and customer service skills to assist the customers with their questions and needs. Knowledge about art supplies is a plus, but not a necessity. This position involves purchasing supplies, managing the sales floor, and helping the Retail manager supervise student workers. 

Department -Specific Responsibilities

  • Assists customers.
  • Accepts payments/ processes financial transactions for the Artshop.
  • Assists Manager in daily business processes of the ArtShop.

EDUCATION

Required

  • High school diploma or equivalent (Such as HSED or GED) 

WORK EXPERIENCE

Preferred

  • Retail experience, or office experience

SKILLS

Required

  • Strong verbal communication and listening skills
  • Thorough and dependable
  • Excellent organization skills
  • Preferred
  • Familiarity with art supplies
  • Customer service skills
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office applications

18.00 per hour

Monday-Friday, up to 28 hours a week.

This position will have a set schedule of approximately 5 hours per day between hours of 8:00 AM-5:00 PM.
