Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging Python course content in an after-hours setting, often working with students who hold outside work commitments.
  • Facilitate interactive exercises, project work, and discussions to deepen understanding and practical application of Python and associated technologies.
  • Collaborate with a dedicated Teacher's Assistant to ensure educational quality and effective learning outcomes.
  • Conduct regular student assessments, providing personalized and constructive feedback to encourage progress and skill development.
  • Motivate students through the learning journey, adapting to diverse learning styles and needs.
  • Maintain a collaborative relationship with the instructional team to optimize the educational experience.

Job Skills:

  • Expertise in Python, with a solid foundation in HTML/CSS/JS, SQL, Flask, and SQLAlchemy.
  • Ability to create or adapt curriculum to reflect current industry standards and student needs.
  • Proven skills in delivering dynamic lectures and fostering interactive learning environments.
  • Strong communication and engagement skills, with an emphasis on clear, proactive interactions.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement, both in teaching methods and personal development.
  • Familiarity with the tech industry's tools and practices, with a focus on web development.

Work Experience:

  • Experience in technical roles, particularly involving Python and web technologies. 6+ months required
  • Background in education or training, with a preference for candidates who have facilitated project-based learning and student assessments. 6+ months preferred

Education:

  • A background as a self-taught developer, boot camp graduate, or holder of an equivalent degree in a related field.

Other:

  • Class hours: T/Th, 6:15pm - 9:15pm
  • This role is fully remote, requiring proficiency in digital communication and collaboration tools.
  • High mental agility and stress management skills are essential.
  • Consistent attendance and punctuality are critical.
