Job Description

Friends University is seeking to fill a part-time Planned Giving Officer position in Wichita Kansas. This position is responsible for seeking out opportunities, and developing and implementing initiatives, to identify, cultivate and solicit prospects to ensure a strong base of financial support through a combination of planned and deferred giving vehicles.

Skills & Requirements

Experience in Fund Development, including planned giving, needed.  Knowledge of estate planning, laws and statutes relating to charitable giving, and technical functioning of various types of charitable trusts and charitable annuities, is preferred.

Bachelor’s degree is required. Relevant areas of study include law, psychology, and finance.

Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills are necessary.  Retention of details is crucial when visiting clients. The ability to maintain confidential information in a professional manner is required.
