Job Summary/Basic Function:
  • Reports to Peer Recruiter Supervisor; 
  • makes calls to prospective and currently enrolled students; 
  • participates in outreach efforts of the college through high school visits, community events, and special programs; 
  • conducts individual and group tours of the college; 
  • assists potential students with registration and applications; 
  • prepares reports for each completed Peer Recruiter activity; 
  • enters and maintains recruitment and retention data; 
  • assists college faculty and staff with special programs and projects; 
  • up to 19 hours per week.
Physical Demands:
Able to traverse campus, reaching, handling, fine dexterity, vision, hearing, talking.
Minimum Qualifications:
  • 2024 graduate of Brazoswood High School; 
  • full-time student at Brazosport College; 
  • basic computer skills; 
  • excellent interpersonal skills; 
  • good communication skills including oral and written; 
  • knowledge of and ability to use Microsoft Office software; 
  • excellent organizational skills; 
  • Peer Recruiter must maintain a cumulative GPA of a 2.0 to continue employment.
