Part Time Office Assistant - School of Public Affairs and Social Services

General Description of Position: Provide office support for the School of Public Affairs & Social Services and the Department of Education. Position entails independent work effort; special attention to detail; strong computer skills such as Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook. This position is responsible for sensitive and highly confidential matters.
Major Responsibilities: Assist in coverage with the Office Assistant. Assist in maintaining student files, scheduling of student appointments with the student's Advisor, data and schedule input and reports. 
Performs other duties as assigned. Conduct all activities with an appreciation and respect for diversity of people, styles, and views. Promote same as an integral part of one's work.
Position reports to: School of Public Affairs & Social Services Dean.
Minimum Qualifications: Associate degree and two years of work experience preferred. The candidate must have strong computer skills, including the ability to use word processing, spreadsheet, calendaring, and database software. Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with faculty, staff and students.
Preferred Qualifications: Selected candidate for employment will be subject to pre-employment background checks, including criminal history check, and any offer of employment will be contingent upon that outcome.
