About the Department:

Counseling and Psychological Services supports students through ethical and responsive care and prevention. We foster the well-being of the diverse Mason community through psychological, learning, outreach, and consultation services. We provide high-quality training to emerging mental health professionals. We are committed to excellence in psychological and learning services by promoting student safety, enhancing emotional growth, and supporting academic success.
Responsibilities:
 
This clinical position will provide brief counseling, case management, and crisis intervention services to Mason students, working within the Counseling Center team. This is an hourly wage, non-benefited position; hourly rate will depend upon level of training and experience. Our center is open Monday to Friday from 8:30am to 5:00pm, and we are looking for a part-time clinician who can work 16-24 hours per week.
Required Qualifications:

  • Master’s or doctoral degree in counseling/clinical psychology, social work, or a similar field;     
  • Current license to practice as a psychologist, counselor or social worker in Virginia; and
  • Experience with crisis management. 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with collegiate mental health or similar developmental populations.
