JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Penn State College of Medicine, Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Health, Division of Autism Services, in Hershey, PA is seeking a Part Time Marketing and Communications Specialist. This position will support the Autism Services, Education, Resources, and Training Collaborative (ASERT). ASERT is a partnership of medical centers, centers of autism research and services, universities, and other providers involved in the treatment and care of individuals of all ages with autism and their families. ASERT was developed to bring together resources locally, regionally, and statewide.
The Part Time Marketing and Communications Specialist will support the efforts of the Community Engagement Manager and Digital Strategy manager in overall ASERT outreach efforts. This includes working to strengthen current connections to the autism community and assisting in the development of educational materials for various stakeholder groups.

Duties include:
• Assist with the production of marketing and/or promotional communications that may include print, electronic, social media, new/emerging media, and other collateral
• Contribute to content for fact sheets, brochures, newsletters, and other external communications
• Edit and proofread publications, including websites, advertisements, articles, brochures, feature stories, etc.
• Assist with monitoring and tracking analytics of website and digital traffic
• Collaborate in the planning of marketing and/or communications strategy
• Other duties as assigned

The following clearances must be successfully completed for this position:  

  • Pennsylvania State Police Criminal Background Check  
  • Pennsylvania Child Abuse History
  • Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Criminal Background Check
