Position Description

The Brandeis School of Law invites applications for Part-Time Lecturer (PTL) teaching positions for the Spring 2022 semester (January - May).  Review of applications will begin upon receipt and continue until the positions are filled.  Interested candidates should include in their application a resume or curriculum vitae and a cover letter or expression of interest that notes the subject area(s) the applicant is interested in teaching (one file).  Applications should be addressed to Professor JoAnne Sweeny, Associate Dean of Faculty Affairs.  Part-Time Lecturers will be hired to teach various classes.  

We are interested in hiring in a wide variety of areas, including both experiential and doctrinal courses.  We have particular interest in the following areas but other subjects may be considered.

Doctrinal courses: 

Bankruptcy Law

Election Law

Energy Law

Family Law

Legislation

National Security Law

Trademark Law

A J.D. degree and demonstrated expertise in the field are required.  Prior teaching experience, particularly as an adjunct professor at a law school, is preferred, although it is not a requirement.
