Scope of Job | Applications are invited to apply for Part Time Lecturer position in Economics. We seek dedicated and excellent teachers intent on improving student success, preparing exceptional professionals in Economics, as well as continuing the tradition of promoting the social mobility of our students. Experience of teaching Economics in higher education in a culturally diverse setting is strongly preferred. We are a Hispanic-serving institution located in South Texas near the US-Mexico border. |
Minimum Qualifications | Candidate must at least have a Master’s (or preferably a PhD) degree in Economics or a closely related field prior to the start of the Spring 2024 semester. Candidate must provide evidence of teaching effectiveness. |
Discipline Specific Required Qualifications | Applicants must have earned at least 18 graduate credit hours in the field of Economics. |
Preferred Qualification | Experience at teaching a diverse student body is desirable, as is the ability to use technology to support teaching and learning. |
