Position Description:

The Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of Louisville invites applications for Part-time Lecturer (PTL) teaching positions to begin in Summer 2023. Review of applications will begin upon receipt and continue until positions are filled. Hiring is contingent upon availability of funding. PTL's hired will teach undergraduate and/or graduate courses in the following program areas:

  • Bachelor of Arts in Computer Science
  • Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering
  • Master of Science in Computer Science

We seek candidates prepared to teach face-to-face and/or online course delivery.

Minimum Education and Experience
* Master's degree with one or more degrees (BS, MS, or Ph.D.) in computer science, computer engineering, or closely related fields is required for undergraduate courses, but an earned doctorate is preferred.
* Doctorate degree in computer science, computer engineering, or closely related fields is required for graduate courses.
* At least one year of teaching experience (as TA or independent instructor) required; experience as independent instructor strongly preferred.
* Individuals with direct experience in embedded systems and embedded programming, software engineering, and engineering project design are especially encouraged to apply.
* Prior computer science and/or engineering experience in industry is also welcome.
