NYU Tel Aviv is seeking a part-time lecturer to teach a course on Data Science for Everyone, under the sponsorship of the Center for Data Science at New York University. The course would be taught in the Fall 2023 semester (September 1 - December 11, 2023). For further course content information, please review this sample syllabus .

Course Description

In this course, students will learn to program in Python, conduct a wide range of statistical tests and understand the various buzzwords and jargon surrounding data science, like machine learning and deep learning, artificial intelligence, algorithms, big data, and more. The only prerequisite for this course is high school algebra; students are not expected to have any prior calculus or computer programming experience.

Qualifications

Qualified candidates should hold a graduate degree (PhD preferred) in data science, computer science, mathematics or related field and have a strong record of research and especially teaching. Candidates who have experience in teaching within an American university system to a diverse English speaking undergraduate student body are strongly encouraged to apply. Preference will be given to those who have a minimum of 2-3 years' experience teaching at the university level in English. Applicants are required to have a legal right to work in Israel.
