Position Description:

The Department of Comparative Humanities invites applications for part-time instructor positions to begin Fall 2023. All positions are for one semester in the first instance, with the possibility of renewal as department needs require. The teaching positions are available in lower-level undergraduate courses and include the following topics:

  • Humanities in Global Cultures
  • Creativity and the Arts
  • Cultures of America
  • Introduction to World Religions
  • Introduction to Film

Instructors are expected to utilize Blackboard to submit course syllabus, order textbooks or other reading materials, provide developmentally meaningful feedback, present engaging learning experiences, respond to students in a timely manner, communicate regularly with designated academic program director, submit final grades within university deadlines, and comply with other requests as a part-time lecturer, such as completing an attestation disclosure form, along with completing annual evaluations.

Qualifications:

M.A. required. Ph.D. and previous teaching experience preferred.

Salary: Salary based on a per credit hour value of course taught (Typically a 3-credit hour course)
