Position Description

The Department of Classical and Modern Languages invites applications for Part-Time Lecturer teaching positions to teach courses in American Sign Language and/or Interpreter Training, beginning Summer or Fall 2022.

Qualifications:

18 hours of graduate course work in ASL Education, ASL/English Interpreting, Linguistics, Deaf Studies, or a related field.

Near-native or native proficiency in American Sign Language

Three (3) semesters of classroom teaching experience

Excellent communication skills

Preferred qualifications include experience providing instruction via distance learning modalities.
