The Ball State University Hotel is seeking candidates for its’ vacant Hotel Housekeeping position.  The successful candidate should possess a strong work ethic, commitment to the organization, and attention to detail.   
Among the finest facilities on the Ball State campus, our 25 room hotel located on the third floor of the L.A. Pittenger Student Center provides convenient accommodations for campus and Muncie visitors.

Position Function
Under supervision, perform housekeeping work required for the cleaning of hotel rooms following proper procedures and techniques for equipment and cleaning products.
Minimum Education
High School diploma or equivalent (GED).
Minimum Experience
1. No allergies to soaps, cleaning agents, chemicals or environmental factors in housekeeping service.
2. Must be able to read and comprehend all specified policies and procedures for safety, hazardous materials information, University policies, procedures and communications, and perform basic mathematical functions.
3. Must possess and maintain a valid Driver’s License, if required by assignment.
4. Must be able to perform all mental and physical requirements as outlined in each job duty.
5. You must be 18 years or older.
Authorization to work in the US Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.

Change bed linens, make beds with clean linens as required, and laundry of linens and towels.
Duty Requirement
Requires the physical ability to stoop, crouch, lift, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, grasp, and exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, 25 pounds of force frequently, and 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects. Task requires the visual ability to inspect areas, judge distances, size, shape, shadows, etc. Task requires the use of linens, carts, etc. Task exposes employee to inside environmental conditions, fumes, odors, dusts, gases, etc. Task requires the mental ability to receive and follow oral instructions and to read, comprehend, and follow written instructions and information.
