The Department of Economics and Finance at the University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a part-time faculty position in finance for the fall 2024 semester in the Mike Cottrell College of Business (MCCB). The MCCB is an AACSB-accredited college of business that offers programs on five campuses in the North Georgia region, located near the largest grouping of FinTech companies in the country. The MCCB includes the Institute for Cyber Operations, the Center for Entrepreneurship & Innovation, and the Truist Center for Ethical Leadership. In addition to the B.B.A. with majors in finance, accounting, management, marketing, and information systems, the college offers undergraduate degrees in computer science, cybersecurity, and technology management, and minors that include business administration, computer science, cybersecurity, economics, entrepreneurship, and FinTech. Graduate programs include the Cottrell M.B.A., Master of Accountancy, Master of Computer Science, and four graduate certificates. The international group of teacher-scholars provides an exceptional learning community to prepare students for their professional roles and to engage with business and industry in the region to foster economic development. 

The University of North Georgia is currently accepting applications for a part-time faculty member in Finance. 

  • The most likely teaching schedule for this position will be one online section of principles of finance. 
  • There is also a possibility of teaching online sections of financial institutions, financial policy, or derivative securities & risk management if there is excess demand for those courses. 
  • Use innovative teaching and learning techniques to provide high quality learning experiences for our students. 
  • Master's degree in finance or a related field with at least 18 credit hours of graduate level coursework in finance or a related field. 
  • Ph.D. or DBA in finance with a record of scholarship in the field from an AACSB-accredited institution is preferred.
