Carnegie Mellon University’s department of Athletics is searching for a Part-Time Diving Coach. This is an exciting opportunity for someone who thrives in an interesting and challenging work environment. You will contribute to the department by providing assistance to the head coach with all aspects of the diving program. This is a seven-month seasonal position from September 1, 2024 – March 31, 2025.

Core responsibilities will include:

  • Assist head coach with all aspects of the diving program including on-deck practice and
    preparation for practice, meet preparation and set up, travel and other duties as assigned by the head coach

  • Demonstrate sincere interest in personal, academic and athletic progress of student-athletes

  • Exhibit supportive and cooperative behavior pursuing sport programs goals set by head coach

  • Recruitment of potential student athletes via phone, email or personal contact

  • Other duties as assigned

You should demonstrate:

  • Strong oral and written communication skills

  • Proven leadership skills

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree required

  • 1-3 years athletic coaching experience required

  • Proven leadership skills

  • A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered.
