JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The Criminal Justice Program at Penn State Harrisburg

Penn State Harrisburg , School of Public Affairs , invites applications for one (1) adjunct appointment effective May 2024. The appointment requires teaching CRIMJ 304: Security Administration , offered through World Campus , during the Summer 2024 Semester.

Requirements and Qualifications

• A Ph.D. in criminal justice or related social science discipline is strongly preferred, but highly qualified ABDs or JDs with substantial experience in the field may be considered.

The Criminal Justice Program offers both online and residential undergraduate (A.S. and B.S.) and graduate (MACJ) programs in criminal justice. The Criminal Justice Program is part of the School of Public Affairs with additional undergraduate programs in Public Policy and Political Science. Additional graduate programs within the School include the Master’s in Public Administration, the Master’s in Health Administration, and a Ph.D. in Public Administration.

Pursuant to the Jeanne Clery Disclosure of Campus Security Policy and Campus Crime Statistics Act and the Pennsylvania Act of 1988, Penn State publishes a combined Annual Security and Annual Fire Safety Report (ASR). The ASR includes crime statistics and institutional policies concerning campus security, such as those concerning alcohol and drug use, crime prevention, the reporting of crimes, sexual assault, and other matters.
