Position Summary and Duties
The Loyola University Maryland Counseling Center invites applications for the position of part-time counselor, 9 months. Guided by Loyola’s social justice values, the Counseling Center is comprised of a multidisciplinary staff that strives to provide culturally competent clinical services, outreach programming, and training opportunities. We are a counseling center that encourages the utilization of our services by all students. To this end, we seek to provide a safe, welcoming and affirming environment for all.
Duties include: Intake and clinical assessment; brief multi-culturally responsive individual counseling; group counseling and workshops; referral; timely completion of documentation.
This position will work approximately 15 – 20 hours per week.
Required Qualifications
• State of Maryland licensed clinical social worker, counselor (LCPC) or psychologist.
 • 1 to 3 years of experience minimum required.
 • Experience with college student population.
 • Ability to relate to students, faculty, staff, and administrators.
 • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
 • Candidates must exhibit an understanding and commitment to a culturally-focused developmental model and have a demonstrated ability to initiate and implement interventions that promote a healthy, inclusive campus environment.
