The Northwest Indiana Small Business Development Center Network (NW-ISBDC) is seeking a Business Advisor.  The primary role of the Business Advisor is to provide small business assistance, usually in the form of one-to-one counseling of clients to assist business owners and start-up entrepreneurs in moving their businesses forward. To contribute to economic development in the region by being a resource to aid small businesses in growing. The position is client-focused and the advisor counsels in the area of business plan development; preparing financial statements such as cash flow projections, providing assistance in applying for funding, offering recommendations on business strategies; assisting with marketing plan, business development, sales strategies, market research and other related areas.

The business advisor represents the ISBDC in the community, advocates for small business and entrepreneurship and engages with public and private stakeholders in the region. The NW-ISBDC is a resource for both existing businesses and entrepreneurs looking to launch a business. We offer advice to help businesses grow and to help start-ups take off from the ground level.

This position offers great flexibility by providing you with a hybrid work environment.  You can enjoy working both from home and in the office.

Pay: $24.00/hour

Schedule: Flexible days/times to equal 20 hours per week
