JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS:

The School of Behavioral Sciences and Education is inviting applications for a part-time Administrative Support Assistant (up to 24 hours per week) to join our administrative team. Work will be performed in-person, on-site at Penn State Harrisburg.


Job Duties

  • Answer phones.
  • Greet/refer/assist students, faculty, staff, and guests.
  • Process mail and eMail.
  • Maintain confidentiality.
  • Order supplies.
  • Provide support in budgetary systems.
  • Prepare documents, reports, and promotional materials.
  • Compile and organize records.
  • Assist with projects and special events.
  • Manage social media accounts.
  • Schedule meetings and take minutes.
  • Assist with travel arrangements.
  • Provide backup support for other administrative office staff.
  • Assist with other duties as assigned.


Requirements and Qualifications

  • Must upload cover letter and resume at the time of application
  • Typically requires a High School diploma or higher plus two years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Must be detail-oriented and able to manage time-sensitive projects independently.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Adobe Acrobat Pro DC.
